The Whitechapel Gallery Dining Room offers a stylish and intimate dining experience, championing British ingredients using local seasonal produce in an eclectic and interesting way.

Head Chef (and rising star) Maria Elia has adopted a “short but sweet” menu which changes and evolves on a regular basis introducing diners to different textures and flavours of vegetables, fresh fish and meat. With the launch of her new book The Modern Vegetarian, there will always be something on the menu to tempt vegetarians! We now offer a great value set menu for lunch at £18 (2 courses) and £23 (3 courses) available Tuesday to Sunday: Choose from 3 starters, 3 main courses and 4 desserts all designed to be quickly prepared and served so you can enjoy your lunch break at your own pace. The evening menu is A la Carte with more choice and designed for a more leisurely dining experience.

After work drinks
Why not come and enjoy a drink after work or gallery visit in our dining room?  We are open between 5.30pm and 7pm Tuesday to Friday for pre dinner drinks and nibbles.

Library Dining Room
Book our private Library Dining Room at no extra charge for tables of between 8 – 12 guests for lunch or dinner.  Choose to dine from our restaurant menu from £18 for 2 courses at lunchtime or a 3-course dinner menu for £35 including a glass of champagne on arrival. This intimate space features a social sculpture by Christian Boltanski and is also ideal for small canapé receptions for up to 20 guests.

Whitechapel Gallery Café/Bar
The refurbished Café/Bar on the mezzanine level offers a tempting range of light meals such as; gourmet sandwiches, salads (including charcuterie from Monmouth’s Trealy Farm) along with delicious homemade cakes and “London’s best brownie” (Stella magazine). Also a great place to read newspapers, art publications and information on the exhibitions.
