Education Open Evening
Thursday 19 April, 5 - 7pm
Clore Creative Studio, Study Studio, Galleries 1,8 & 9
Free, booking essential)
The next Education Open Evening is for Gillian Wearing (28 March – 17 June 2012). This lively event is for anyone with an interest in informal gallery education.
We are excited to announce that Sam Rumbelow, the method-acting facilitator featured in Gillian Wearing’s film Self Made, will host a discussion, talking about his practice and how method acting can be used within arts education.
Artist Daniel Wallis will lead activities in the Gillian Wearing exhibition using the latest Conversations & Actions resource, while the Education Team explain how to get involved in the Gallery’s programme with young adults outside of formal education, with the schools and families programme and through offsite art commissions.
This is the perfect opportunity for first time and regular visitors to hear what we have to offer, to have a drink with friends and colleagues and to share practice with, amongst others, teaching assistants, youth workers, teachers, gallery professionals, third sector workers or mental health service staff.
