Join Whitechapel Gallery’s Youth Forum for an enlightening afternoon of screenings, performances and discussions exploring the theme of ‘Freedom/Control’ and its relevance in today’s society. In collaboration with artist Chiara Ambrosio.
Featuring works by Mikhail Karikis, Jazzman John, John Bently, Helena Hunter, Goldsmiths BA Education Culture and Society students and many more.
This event marks the culmination of a four month long collaboration with Chiara Ambrosio inspired by work she does at the Horse Hospital in the Light and Shadow Salon, “a place for artists, writers and audience to meet and share ideas about the past, present and future of the moving image in all its forms”. Across the project D&S members went on local visits, researched artists, and explored the ins and outs of events curation, all of which fed into creating our very own Light and Shadow Salon at the gallery.

The Whitechapel Gallery Youth Forum is open to young people aged 15–21 and offers opportunities to explore contemporary art, meet creative professionals, and open up career paths into the sector.
