The Silk Road

Brady Arts Centre

5 September - 27 September

Having completed an Art Foundation course in 1974 and while applying for a fine art degree course Steve Homes’s musical career took over. He has studied flamenco guitar from the age of ten but has recently decided to revive his passion for visual art again.

Inspired by artists including Picasso, Kandinsky, Miro, Hokusai and many others, he is also greatly influenced by Japanese art, especially now as he spends a lot of time in Japan with his Japanese wife and children.

His work is motivated and energised by abstract images that have come to him from his musical composition, playing and performing.
Working in acrylics, collage, mixed media, and digitally created images his work explores shape, colour and line in diverse ways.
