Urban Rural Exchange

Spitalfields Studios

7 November - 30 December

The exhibition draws on a year-long collaboration between Karen Wood (London) and James Aldridge (Wiltshire). As they walk, talk and make they record their experiences which explore the relationships between Urban and Rural environments.

Together Karen and James walk regularly in London and Wiltshire. Using a range of media they record their interactions with architecture, pathways, waterways, wildlife and people. Back in their studios they create work in response to their walks.

Their explorations and continuing dialogue are documented online via the @UrbanRuralExchange Instagram page.

Karen & James will be at the launch event, along with the exhibition’s curator Kirsty Kerr to talk about the work.

Following the Launch event on Thursday 7th November, the exhibition will be open to the public from Friday 8th until the end of December, Monday to Sunday by appointment. Please contact Karen on kbwoodnews@gmail.com for a tour of the exhibition during these dates/times.
