Photo-Artist Robert W Mason showcases works from his ongoing project ‘The Sunday Session’. Mason photographs individuals from different backgrounds and wishes to give them a chance to be heard. Telling their stories through four images alongside text formed from a conversation between photographer and sitter. Portraits are taken with the energy and reality of reportage, giving insight to different lives and experiences.
“Through talking to my subject over coffee, I’m looking for a moment in their life, possibly a moment of transformation. The photographs are in some way an illustration of this.”
Mason divides his time between London and Amsterdam. Over the last decade his work has developed from fashion to portraiture. Notable work includes poster artwork for Italian film director Marco de Luca; pop-up portraits for Netherlands Fotoweek and music photography for Charlie Heaton and Rugile Daujotaite.
