Every month, the Whitechapel Gallery maps out a Walking Tour with a selection of the latest First Thursdays exhibitions in east London. The accompanying map is available for free at the Whitechapel Gallery or available to download below.

February’s Walking Tour begins at the Whitechapel Gallery with Terrains of the Body: Photography from the National Museum of Women in the Arts, a collection display that showcases photography and video work by seventeen contemporary artists from around the world. By turning their camera to women, including themselves, these artists embrace the female body as a vital medium for storytelling, expressing identity and reflecting individual and collective experience.

Next is Leyden Gallery, with Platform for the Emerging Arts 13, where you’ll see a mixture of Abstract art and sculpture. From here the tour heads to Gallery S O for Fire Works, a showcase exhibition that brings together emerging artists who embrace ceramic arts. The last stop is The Ryder Projects exhibiting Dear Shareholder, a solo installation of sculptures, works on paper and screenprints by artist Fabio Lattanzi Antinori.
