More in Walking Tour: July 2017

Every month, the Whitechapel Gallery maps out a Walking Tour with a selection of the latest First Thursdays exhibitions in east London. The accompanying map is available for free at the Whitechapel Gallery or available to download below.

July’s Walking Tour begins at the Whitechapel Gallery. Start your journey by checking out our new displays: A Handful of Dust and the new complex of multi-media installations Benedict Drew: The Trickle-Down Syndrome. For your first stop, walk to Spitalfields Studios to witness a dialogue between the paintings of Angela Allen and Biddy Peppin. The next stop is Yamamoto Keiko Rochaix for an insightful display of 1980s’ identity-based and socio-politically oriented art by Black British artists. Finally, head to Leyden Gallery, where this year’s summer group show includes an outstanding combination of artists working across a vibrant range of mediums.
