Every month, Whitechapel Gallery maps out a Walking Tour with a selection of the latest First Thursdays exhibitions in east London. The accompanying map is available for free at the Whitechapel Gallery information desk or available to download below.

October’s Walking Tour begins at Whitechapel Gallery. Enter the immersive exhibition, Elmgreen & Dragset: This Is How We Bite Our Tongue (book now).

Free entry to all other displays including Ulla von Brandenburg: Sweet Feast, Surreal Science: Loudon Collection with Salvatore Arancio, Staging Jackson Pollock and Mikhail Karikis: No Ordinary Protest.

Next stop is a short walk to Spitalfields Studios (4 min) to see Postcards,  a collaborative exhibition of original postcard-sized works and the launch of their ‘Open Studios’ event. Second stop is 5th Base Gallery (5 min) for Diana Krilova New Works, a solo exhibition of possible narratives connecting adults with children with nature. Finally, head to Espacio Gallery (11 min) for the London Independent Photography 30th Annual Exhibition, showcasing innovative and creative works from their open call.
