Using Mel Bochner’s exhibition as inspiration, children aged 5-8 will explore colours and collage with artist Matthew Krishanu, in a two-day workshop where words and letters become pictures, poems and paintings.

Important information before booking:

• All children are to attend the course independently

• Workshop leaders and Whitechapel Gallery staff have been police checked

•  Children should bring a packed lunch and wear suitable clothing for drawing and craft activities

• Parents and guardians should drop off children at the Information Desk at 10.45am for an 11am start on each day and arrive to pick-up at a 3pm.

• On the final day all parents and guardians are asked to collect children at 3pm as there will be a mini-exhibition of the children's work to view
