Working closely with artists and curators to realise ambitious installations, the Gallery’s team of art handlers/technicians play a central role in the life of an exhibition programme. This day-long course led by Christopher Aldgate, Gallery Manager, and Patrick Lears, Deputy Gallery Manager, outlines the working practice of an art handler, covering key ‘hands-on’ aspects of the role from planning logistics to installation, problem-solving to conservation.
