A Night in Three Villages

A night of live acoustic music and poetry readings inspired by the work of performing artists in east London whose work draws on the folk traditions of South Asia . Performers will include singer Abdul Shahid performing traditional Bengali Baul, Uday Shanker Das reciting traditional Bengali Tagore poetry and a performance by the Bengali dancer Kakoli.

This event is curated by Lifetime - a group aged 16-24 working with the Gallery to develop aspects of the public events programme.
