Sarah Dobai presents a new work that transfers aspects of a film/photography shoot to the live context of the gallery.

Drawing on the vocabulary of the film still, the performance will witness actor/ models preparing and enacting a series of still scenarios based on everyday situations.

A development from the series Studio/ Location Photographs, 2008-11, the performance draws parallels between the gallery and other public spaces.

Study explores Dobai’s ongoing concerns with the portrait in social space and the conditions of production of cinema and photography.

The performance will take place 7pm - 7.20pm and 8pm - 8.20pm approximately.
