Ticket includes a glass of wine. In the third Whitechapel Gallery Salon on 'Cultures of Capitalism', the discussion focuses on imagining the Spaces of Capital. How can art and politics image, represent or map the spaces of contemporary capitalism? And, in the light of current spaces of occupation, what critical and political possibilities for resistance or opposition might such imaginings contain? Participants include Lewis Bassett from The Haircut Before The Party, Alberto Toscano, Senior Lecturer in Sociology at Goldsmiths and author of The Idea of Fanaticism, and Andy Merrifield, author of Metromarxism and Dialectical Urbanism. Chaired by David Cunningham from the IMCC. In association with the Institute for Modern and Contemporary Culture, University of Westminster.
Concessions and members are kindly asked to show proof or ID when collecting tickets on the night.
