Since 1938 the British Council has presented the work of major British artists at the prestigious Venice Biennale. Tom Overton, researcher and writer, British Council Visual Arts Department, traces the rich history of the British Pavilion through the artefacts, documents and personal accounts which feature in the Gallery’s latest Archive exhibition.
