Artist information

German artist Isa Genzken began exhibiting in the mid 1970s and has since emerged as one of the most influential artists working today.  Over the past thirty years, Genzken has developed a unique approach to sculpture and materiality, creating works that are aesthetic, social and political. Prolific in both media and approaches, her works have included sculpture, photography, film, painting, drawing and collage, and have combined traditional materials such as plaster and concrete with throw-away objects drawn from everyday life.
