In this edition, Katz demonstrates his passion for prints and drawings, using a monochromatic colour scheme and a simplified line to emphasize form and colour. Artist Information The American painter Alex Katz began his career in New York in the 1950s, alongside the Abstract Expressionist movement. Best known for his figurative images of women and small groups rendered in a flattened style and marked by a simplified line, Katz has always worked independently of the contemporary leading movements and adhered to his own distinct style.
