The Film London Jarman Award 2010 Screenings

Advance bookings for both session have closed. Tickets will be available to buy in person from the Information Desk from 11am on the day.

A day of events showcasing the four artists shortlisted for this year’s Jarman Award: Spartacus Chetwynd, Ben Rivers, Zineb Sedira and Emily Wardill.

Morning Programme (11am-1.30pm)

Spartacus Chetwynd
: A selection of Chetwynd's distinctive performative works, including The Walk to Dover (2005) and Call of the Wild (2006), accompanied by a screening of Jean Rouch's Les Maîtres Fous (1954), selected by the artist.

Break

Emily Wardill: Screening of Wardill's recent film, Game Keepers Without Game (2009), a feature length melodrama formally based on a play by Spanish dramatist Pedro Calderón de la Barca.


Afternoon Programme (2.30-5.30pm)

Ben Rivers: Rivers introduces a programme of his unique films, featuring I Know Where I'm Going (2009), A World Rattled of Habit (2008) and Origin of the Species (2008).

Break

Zineb Sedira: Screenings of Sedira's single screen works, Middle Sea (2008) and Saphir (2006), followed by a talk by writer and curator Lucy Reynolds on the work of Zineb Sedira.
