Alpha-ville festival presents a unique showcase of work by one of the most cutting edge units at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL). Unit 15 is a postgraduate design unit that specialises in the use of film, CGI, animation aßnd motion graphics to explore and investigate new forms of architecture.
The showcase features a selection of work by the talented final year students, curated and presented by Unit 15's director Nic Clear. The talk will explore Bartlet 2010 programme: 'Year of The Depend Adult Undergarment' which uses David Foster Wallace’s 1996 novel ‘Infinite Jest’ as a starting point for an analysis of the psychopathologies of "Late Capitalism" and the way that they transform the built environment.
