The University of the Ghetto: A Literary Celebration of the Whitechapel Library

An evening of readings, performance and short talks by and about writers connected to the old Whitechapel Library.

With Lisa Jardine CBE, Director of the Centre for Editing Lives and Letters, and Centenary Professor of Renaissance Studies at Queen Mary, University of London, Bernard Kops, poet and playwright, Emanuel Litvinoff, writer, Jean Moorcroft Wilson, writer and lecturer, and others associated with the rich cultural history of the former Library.

Performances and readings will take place in the Zilkha Auditorium, 7-9pm, followed by a reception in the Clore Creative Studio.
