Annie Freud studied English and European Literature at the University of Warwick. Her first collection 'The Best Man That Ever Was', was published by Picador in 2007and received the Glen Dimplex New Writers Award. 'The Mirabelles' is her second collection and has been selected as the Poetry Book Society Choice for Winter 2010. She is renowned for her live performances and poetry writing workshops.

June Lausch lives in Stoke Newington and works as a teacher.  She started writing poetry in the nineties when she attended the Wordshop at City University, taught by Michael Donaghy.  She has been published in Magma and South Bank Magazine.

Susan Grindley has had poems published in many online and printed magazines including Limelight, Nth Position, Magma and Rising and also in the anthology Gobby Deegan's Riposte, Donut Press, for which she wrote the title poem. She is a landscape architect and lives with her husband in Hackney, London.

Lorraine Mariner works at the Poetry Library, Southbank Centre, and previously worked at the Tate Library. Her collection 'Furniture' was published by Picador in 2009 and shortlisted for the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and the Seamus Heaney Centre Poetry Prize.
