A special reading of Bernard Kops new play about Isaac Babel’s arrest, interrogation, and false confession on charges of espionage and Trotskyite association by the Russian secret police (N.K.V.D. ). Revealing the tragic and heroic events of Babel 's life, the terrors of the dungeon and his colourful past of life in the vibrant streets of Jewish Odessa.
