Archivist (maternity cover) – Internal applications only

Whitechapel Gallery is looking for an experienced Archivist to manage the Gallery’s Archive and Foyle Reading Room, ensuring that the collection continues to be recognized as an important historic resource and that our research facilities maintain the highest standard of service. This role is providing one year’s maternity cover for the Archivist from December 2020.

Conditions of work

• Contract: Fixed Term 12 months (maternity cover), 4 days a week
• Hours of work: 4 days per week 9.30am – 5.45pm, plus some occasional weekend and evening work, which will be compensated by time off in lieu
• Starting salary: Pro-rata of £24,000 pa, depending on experience
