Whitechapel Gallery is looking for a creative and highly organised event officer to help the Development Events Manager plan and deliver a busy schedule of cultivation, gallery, advocacy and fundraising events.

This is a varied and exciting role, working across gallery departments and closely with external partners, peers and funders. This role will also involve working on Whitechapel Gallery’s annual fundraising gala, Art Icon.

Conditions of work

• Contract: Full Time, 18 months with a potential to become permanent
• Hours of work: 9.30am–5.45pm, plus substantial early mornings and evenings with occasional weekends, all of which will be compensated by time off in lieu
• Salary scale: £23,000-£26,000 dependent on experience
