Do you have an engaged, positive attitude and an enthusiasm for excellent visitor care? If you would like to be part of a dynamic team supporting the Gallery’s culture of experimentation in work practices, you could consider applying to greet visitors and invigilate exhibitions in our beautiful galleries.

We are offering a number of fixed term Gallery Ambassador contracts to invigilate our A Century of the Artist’s Studio: 1920 – 2020 exhibition, as well as our other exhibitions and displays including Christen Sveaas Art Foundation

Tuesdays (10:30-18:15), Thursday (7:30-17:15) and Saturdays (12:15-17:00)

Weekly contract hours range 20 hours

Wednesday (10:30-18.15), Friday (10:30-18:15) and Saturday (12:15-17:00)

Conditions of work

• Fixed Term contracts 21 February – 5 June 2022
• Be available to cover other Gallery Ambassador’s Annual Leave when required
• Be available to work evening shifts when required as per season openings, patrons events etc.
• The period of notice: 1 month (1 week within probation)
• Probation period: 4 weeks
• We will require Gallery Ambassadors to attend Front of House Training on one of the following date: 21 February 10:00 to 17:00
• Salary: based on £9.68 per hour plus paid leave, on a fixed term contract
• Additional casual hours can be added

Group interview sessions will take place on Monday 14 February 2022 between 11:00 – 15:00, we expect candidates to be available for the duration of the session.

We will invite shortlisted candidates to attend group interview sessions, followed by short individual interviews.
