Gallery Ambassador – Fixed-Term Contract

Fixed term contracts, 24 November – 10 January

Do you have an engaged, positive attitude and an enthusiasm for excellent visitor care? If you would like to be part of a dynamic team supporting the Gallery’s culture of experimentation in work practices, you could consider applying to greet visitors and invigilate exhibitions in our beautiful galleries.

We are offering a number of fixed term Gallery Ambassador contracts to invigilate our Kai Althoff goes with Bernard Leach exhibition.

Working patterns available:

Please note working patterns alternate each week between working patterns 1 and 2.

Working Pattern 1

Thursday – 12.15 – 22:30

Friday – 10.30-18.15

Sunday – 10.30-18.15

Working Pattern 2

Tuesdays – 10.30-18.15

Wednesdays – 10.30-18.15

Saturday – 10.30-18.15

Conditions of work

  • Fixed Term contracts 24 November – 10 January
  • Be available to cover other Gallery Ambassador’s Annual Leave when required
  • Be available to work evening shifts when required as per season openings, patrons events etc.
  • The period of notice: 3 weeks (1 week within probation)
  • Probation period: 3 weeks
  • Salary : based on £9.41 per hour (£10.55 an hour including holiday pay) on a fixed term contract with additional hours added
