Gallery Ambassadors (Fixed-Term Contracts)

Do you have an engaged, positive attitude and an enthusiasm for excellent visitor care? If you would like to be part of a dynamic team supporting the Gallery’s culture of experimentation in work practices, you could consider applying to invigilate exhibitions in our beautiful galleries.

We are offering a number of fixed term Gallery Ambassador contracts to invigilate our Radical Figures Painting in the New Millennium exhibition 6 February  – 10 May 2020

Working patterns available:

Contract 1

Total days: 5

Total weekly hours: 34.5 hours

Tuesday 7:30 – 18:15 (9.75 hours)

Wednesday 10:30 – 18:15 (6.75 hours)

Thursday 12:15 – 16:30 (4.25 hours)

Friday 10:30 – 18:15 (6.75 hours)

Saturday 10:30 – 18:15 (6.75 hours)

Contract 2

Total days: 5

Total weekly hours: 34.5 hours

Tuesday 10:30 – 18:15 (6.75 hours)

Wednesday 7:30 – 18:15 (9.75 hours)

Thursday 12:45 – 17:00 (4.25 hours)

Friday 10:30 – 18:15 (6.75 hours)

Saturday 10:30 – 18:15 (6.75 hours)

 

Conditions of work

  • Fixed Term contracts 6 February – 10 May 2020
  • Be available to cover other Gallery Ambassador’s Annual Leave when required
  • Be available to work evening shifts when required as per season openings, patrons events etc.
  • The period of notice: 3 weeks (1 week within probation)
  • Probation period: 3 weeks
  • Salary : based on £9.41 per hour (£10.55 an hour including holiday pay) on a fixed term contract with additional hours added
