Centre for Recent Drawing

C4RD‘s purpose is to make space for drawing. By providing a web service and an independent non-commercial exhibition space in London dedicated to the exhibition of recent drawing, it seeks to maintain the visibility of a characteristically humanist mode of creativity; to explore the boundaries of the medium of drawing; and to facilitate access and discussion for current drawing practice independent of structural forces in commercial and educational settings. It is funded by anonymous private donation and is not aligned with any educational or museum institution. Seeking a balanced programme, C4RD welcomes submissions from those with a particular interest in drawing as a core experience from within and outside the arts.
