The Rose Lipman Building

Breathing new life into a disused library and community centre. Since summer 2012 we have developed new theatre and art commissions, housed creative businesses and artists in the Rose Lipman Building, the former Hackney Archives and Library in de Beauvoir Town. We’re re-animating the building and bringing world-class art, theatre and creative practice to it.  Alongside this we’re developing a varied programme of talks, workshops and activities for local people including tea-dances, acting, illustration, photography and graphic design, as well as offering the main hall as a community space. 2013’s programme of activity includes the Open School East, David Blandy’s Anjin 1600: Edo Wonderpark and a series of Create London talks.
