Schwartz Gallery

Schwartz Gallery was founded in April 2008 by Patrick Michalopoulos and Ismail Erbil with the support of the building’s landlord Mr. Schwartz. Housed in a late 19th century industrial building the gallery is situated next to the 2012 Olympic Park in Hackney Wick, London.  The programme of exhibitions is focused on developing innovative approaches to exhibition-making working closely with artists to create challenging contexts within which to show their work. In 2010 Schwartz Gallery presents a series two-person and solo shows variously curated and/or managed by the gallery directors following on from its successful series of curatorial projects in 2008 and 2009.
