125 Anniversary Auction - Whitechapel Gallery

125 Anniversary Auction 2026

As part of Whitechapel Gallery’s 125 anniversary celebrations, the Gallery is partnering with Phillips on a major online auction in support of its future programme.

Each of the artists included has had a significant exhibition at Whitechapel Gallery, reflecting the institution’s longstanding commitment to presenting ambitious work at pivotal moments in artists’ careers. The proceeds from the auction will support the Gallery’s exhibitions, commissions, participation initiatives and public programmes.

The auction will run online from 3 March, 12pm GMT to 17 March, 2pm GMT 2026 via Phillips.

A selection of works will be on public view at Phillips, 30 Berkeley Square, London W1J 6BD from 26 February – 7 March 2026 and 10 – 17 March 2026.

The auction can be viewed and bids placed online via Phillips.
