Schools Workshops: Anna Maria Maiolino

The processes of making, the actions, the gestures and their connection to the body will be explored in this workshop for schools inspired by the drawings, sculptural forms and performative works of Anna Maria Maiolino. Discover inventive ways of sculpting your own mark making tools and create performative drawings!

The workshop will be led by artist and educator Rebecca Griffiths whose interest in the relationship between materials and the body reflects creative approaches in the work of Maiolino. Handmade objects and repeated movements will become the tools for creating expressive drawings in this two hour workshop, adaptable for all ages.
