This session looks at how to secure corporate funding from a range of areas. including sponsorship and corporate donations for exhibitions, education, public events, fundraising events and other corporate support, while maintaining high levels of stewardship and benefit delivery.

  • Making the ask and securing the support
  • How to ensure the highest levels of stewardship and value delivery for your corporate partner and your organisation

About the course leaders

Darryl de Prez

Head of Development at the Whitechapel Gallery, Darryl de Prez has over 20 years’ experience in fundraising and development, having worked at a range of charities and arts organisations including the National Trust, the Serpentine Gallery and English National Opera. Darryl is Alumni Ambassador at the Courtauld Institute, advising students on careers in arts development.


Alexandra Lawson

Alexandra Lawson has significant experience of fundraising across the cultural sector, specialising in the management and safeguarding of corporate partnerships and programmes. She is Corporate Development Manager at Whitechapel Gallery, previously worked as a freelance consultant, held senior development positions with the British Museum and Natural History Museum, and worked for a number of years with the Royal Court Theatre and Tate.


Monica Yam

Monica Yam’s focus is on corporate fundraising through developing innovative brand partnerships. Having worked across the visual arts, music, theatre and advertising sectors, she has over 15 years’ experience of developing cultural and arts projects for brands such as The O2, Tate and John Lewis. She has previously worked as an account director: arts & culture projects, and cultural event programmer.
