15-18 and enjoy getting creative? Join this free programme for young people from East London all about exploring different approaches to contemporary art.
Across four days you’ll discover more about pathways in the creative sector, whilst experimenting with a range of artistic techniques through workshops led by 3 artists taking part in The London Open. You’ll get a chance to see behind the scenes at Whitechapel Gallery, meet staff working in a range of creative roles, and collaborate closely with exciting contemporary artists.
The week is designed to be fun, friendly, and all about experimenting. No previous art experience is necessary.
Exploring Contemporary Art Week is open to young people aged 15-18, with priority given to those based in East London Boroughs, and those from backgrounds currently underrepresented in the arts.
Places will be allocated throughout the application period, so we encourage applying early to avoid disappointment.
