Led by expert programme curators Gareth Evans and Antonia Blocker, this course explores the varied roles of the institutional and freelance programmer in creating platforms for curatorial discussion, producing and staging events and screenings. The day will focus on:

  • How to conceive, produce and stage talks and live events, film screenings, festivals and series
  • How to set the scene for performance and commissioning new work
  • How to work creatively across media both within institutions, site-specifically and off-site
  • How to establish and develop creative, funding and promotional networks and partners

The Art Fund supports this ‘How to: Inside the Gallery’ series by offering a number of fully funded places per course for curators and museum and gallery professionals. The deadline is 18 December 2015, to apply, head to the Art Fund Website.
