Join us for an evening of music, workshops, and exploration programmed by Whitechapel Gallery’s youth collective Duchamp & Sons. Inspired by their current exhibition Escape the Slick, which asks questions about access to public space whilst embracing comfort and self-expression, you can expect an evening of good vibes, exploration, and moments to connect to others.

18:30 – 19:15 – Panel Discussion on being a young creative with Tadi the Great, James Jones-Smith, and marojiyam in the Study Studio
19:00 – 19:40 – Performances & Readings by young creatives in Escape the Slick, followed by an Open Mic. Performers include Kimberly Johnson, Jordan Minga, Lynn Ha, Harriet Ekpo, Aliya Abdi, Yulin Huang and Natasha Brown.
19:30 – 21:00 – Collage Making in the Study Studio
20:00 – 21:00 – Closing DJ set by Tadi The Great in the Creative Studio
We are less than 1 minute walk from Aldgate East underground station. Alternatively, Liverpool Street and Tower Gateway stations and Shoreditch High Street overground station are approximately 15 minutes walks from the Gallery.
Buses: The 25, 205 and 254 stop outside the gallery. The 15, 115, 40, 42,45 and 67 buses stop outside Aldgate Station. The 35, 43,78,149, 242, 344 and 388 stop on Commercial Road. The 242 and 253 stop outside Liverpool Street Station.
