Here and Now – Black History Month Photography Exhibition

Alternative Arts presents a diverse exhibition of images by black British photographers exploring a wide range of contemporary topics inspired by African and Caribbean culture in London, unknown fishermen in Lagos, memories of a mixed heritage childhood, Nigerian cuisine, the rich tapestry of Somali experiences, with interweaving narratives and social celebrations.

Opening Reception: Thursday, 5th October, 6 – 8 pm

Join us for the opening night of this exhibition when you will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists whose work is on display. Light refreshments will be available.

The Brady Arts & Community Centre is a just a 5-minute walk from Whitechapel Station and 10 minutes from Aldgate East and Liverpool Street. Up the road from the centre is Brick Lane leading to Spitalfields.
