High Street Works II

The Tommy Flowers

6 November - 30 November

So far on Aberfeldy Street, Graham Carrick and Manuel Sanmartin have collaborated on painting an abstract on the shutters of No.43, Part2ism has begun a large piece on the facade of No.48 and CizeOne is planning series on other shutters along the street.

CizeOne will be leading youth workshops from late October, for more information please contact us via email fitzrovianoir@gmail or see updates on our website at and social media

Over the coming months, more of the empty units on the street will showcase abstract and futuristic imagery, creating an outdoor gallery to accompany the exhibition space inside The Tommy Flowers itself at 50 Aberfeldy Street and link to other outdoor works we have commissioned in the area in recent years such as:

Join us at The Tommy Flowers to celebrate the start of refurbishment of our new unit next door at 48 Aberfeldy Street, supported by The Mayor’s Office, Volunteer it Yourself and Wickes. We’ll be exhibiting a selection of street art from our collection and that of the participating artists.

The Tommy Flowers was recognised as a national exemplar of creative practice in the community on 15th October 2019 through invitation to a reception at The House of Lords, hosted by The Plunkett Foundation.

Getting to: The Tommy Flowers

The Tommy Flowers is in walking distance of a range of DLR stations: East India, All Saints and Langdon Park, plus Canning Town on the DLR/Jubilee Line, which connects with the 309 bus route, a ten minute journey.

Because of massive development in the immediate area, the walking route from East India is currently indirect, so we recommend the 309 bus that also runs from Bethnal Green. There is also a TFL cycle hire rack opposite and free parking after 5:30pm weekdays and free all weekend.
