The April walking tour starts at the Whitechapel Gallery with A Century of the Artist’s studio 1920 – 2020. A 100-year survey of the studio through the work of artists and image-makers from around the world. The next stop is ZÉRUÌ, a newly opened gallery at 108 Fleet Street, hosting a late opening with drinks for their group exhibition A/D D/A. The following destination is Autograph ABP for the show by Sutapa Biswas presenting the London premiere of her acclaimed work Lumen, a film mixing archive material and new footage, set between India and the UK, centred on stories of migration, displacement, and personal memories. The tour heads to Nicoletti Contemporary, for the private view and after party of ‘not before it has forgotten you’, a group exhibition featuring works by Clémentine Bruno, Mara Fortunatovic, Eva Gold and Bella Riza, curated by Estelle Marois and Caroline Dreuvait. The last stop is Guts Gallery presenting a solo show by Olivia Sterling with a series of paintings challenging the hierarchical systems of power and representations, destabilising and interrogating the modes of control by reimagining a world in which the role of the oppressor is inverted.
