Clocks, heartbeats, drums, engines…how do we measure time?

Inspired by the exhibition William Kentridge: Thick Time (21 September 2016 – 15 January 2017), join E17 Puppet Project to create a fun shadow theatre, work with artist Monica Rivas Velasquez to make your mark on a giant drawing and explore the galleries with a new Activity Trail.

This event is suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking advised but drop-in welcome.

Family Day Activities

Make shadow puppets and mini theatres. Using recycled materials, create puppets and work with E17 Puppet Project to experiment with shadows using projectors. (Creative Studio & Study Studio)

Sketch and animate. Work together to create experimental drawings throughout the day and learn to animate them using a smart phone. (Gallery 3)

Look, draw, discuss. Explore the new exhibition William Kentridge: Thick Time with a free Activity Trail designed by artist Monica Rivas Velasquez. (Collect from the Information Desk)
