Past Event

This event was on Thur 10 March, 5pm

Join us on a journey through a 100-year history of the studio through the work of artists from around the world. Recreations of studio corners alongside paintings, sculptures, installations and films bring us a behind-the-scenes peek into the environments where great art has been produced.

Also, experience an exciting experimental project The Living Studio, where gallery spaces have been transformed into a live making space filled with inspirational objects, books, artistic materials and prompts for activity.

This will be followed by a workshop, led by artist Jasmin Bhanji, to draw out themes from the exhibition. Using simple materials and creative prompts that can translate easily to the classroom setting, create your own works of art, drawing on the energy of contemporary artists’ studios.

Suitable for teachers and educators across all age groups.
