The second instalment of a special screening series celebrating Whitechapel Gallery’s 125th anniversary through artist films connected to the Gallery’s recent history.
Bringing together works by Ayo Akingbade, Holly Graham, Maz Murray and Gaby Sahhar, the programme explores themes of identity, place, memory and resistance through moving image. Across documentary, experimental and narrative approaches, these films reflect on personal and collective histories, the politics of belonging, and the ways communities shape and are shaped by their environments.
