Film Launch: Duchamp & Sons x Maz Murray

Join Whitechapel Gallery’s youth collective Duchamp & Sons for a relaxed launch event for their latest project, a new film work developed in collaboration with artist Maz Murray.

Over the past five months members of the collective have worked alongside Maz Murray to explore different approaches to filmmaking, storytelling, and performance. This February half-term the film they have crafted together takes over Whitechapel Gallery’s Assembly Room space.

This event offers the chance to hear from collective members about their experiences and motivations behind the film in an informal Q+A session, as well as an opportunity to see the finished film and accompanying installation.

About Duchamp & Sons

Duchamp & Sons is Whitechapel Gallery’s collective of young people from across East London who meet regularly at the gallery and collaborate on creative projects with artists. Current Duchamp & Sons members include: Aayushi, Aisha, Alimah, Amir, Anna, Ash, Camila, Charlotte, Eva, Evie, Faith, Farjana, Fatema, Harry, Isabella, Josiah, Khadija, Lara, Monie, Rifa, Riley, Safiyah, Sogol, Umayrah, Val.
